Did We Ever Really Go To The Moon? Many people believe that the American Apollo 11 spacecraft had landed on the moon July 24th, 1969. Did the Apollo 11 spacecraft really land on the moon though? Or was it all just a huge worldwide hoax? The only people who could truly know the answer to this question are the workers at NASA. Skeptics point out the little things like the American flag waving in the background of the photo that NASA supposedly took on the moon. Skeptics also point out the fact that there are no stars in the background of the photographs. So what does NASA have to say to this? NASA says "There are no stars in these photographs because the exposure of the camera is too low in order to be able to capture the stars in the picture." If you were to go outside on a starry night and take a picture of the sky, you would most likely not be able to see the stars in your photo. Just like NASA said, the exposure level of the camera is too low to be able to capture the image of the stars. You may be asking "Well then why wouldn't NASA bring a high-quality camera to the moon?" Most people believe that it is because the moon landing had taken place in 1969, therefore there weren't any good enough cameras. You may be asking, "Well what about the American flag waving in the background?" The American flag appears to be waving in the photographs because there is a metal rod running along the top edge of the flag. The metal rod allows the fabric to hang down. The fabric looks like it has a rippling effect because Neil Armstrong had purposely bent the rod in order to make the fabric uneven and not perfectly straight. These images were found on Pixabay.
